Today I'm going to:

* Go exploring my neighborhood and see how long it takes to walk to the metro station
* Work on my Yuletide fic ::wince::
* Meet up with an LJ-person for fangirling
* Buy a shower curtain
* Stop listening to Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit's cover of "Psycho Killer." You are never going to learn the French interlude, Samantha. Especially not the way Jason and Browan mumble their way through it. Probably because THEY don't know it, actually.
* *Not* read the fic I just saw that involves Jason Todd becoming a priest. That cannot possibly end anywhere but tears. (but maybe it's awesome and if I don't click I'll never know! oh dilemma)

	I love the feel of being in a new place and getting to EXPLORE. I'm so excited for you! Today I am going to finish the hat I started last night and deliver the items I knit for charity. I was going to shop, but then I remembered it's Buy Nothing day, so that's out. <333 (Reply to this) (Thread)

PS, I caved and read the priest!Jason fic, and while it is NOT good, it has just enough good elements to be EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING. Like this:

Most of all, Jason realized he didn’t need Bruce, and the only reason he’d ever thought he did was because he loved him. So Jason wrote letters.

Sometimes, Alfred would pen him a five page epic on the going-ons of Wayne Manor, making veiled comments to the active nightlife of his brothers. Bruce was only mentioned briefly, and he never wrote back himself, but It was alright. Jason was finally talking to him and if Alfred was writing back, it meant Bruce had read them. That was all he wanted.

So close! And yet.

	So close! But not. ...if he's a priest, does he hide explosives in those swinging incense burner thingies? And use confession as a way to get tips on criminal activity? I doubt it. But that'd be cool! (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Bruce builds him a church in Crime Alley. I think he's entirely reformed and no longer blowing things up. Which is just wrong.

Then again, there is some ambiguity here:

Bruce had built him a church in Crime Alley, just like he’d asked. Reverend Todd had smiled at the guard and stepped out into the world, ready to battle the demons of the night, all over again.

This time, though, he had a much bigger stick.

I think this paragraph sums it up, really:

When Jason started seminary, he came to the conclusion prison was purgatory. It was time to cleanse his soul and pay back some of the anger and hate he’d given the world. In changed him in some ways, fortified him in others, but most of all it helped him find himself. Jason would never be the calm voice of reason, but he seemed rather adept at being the annoyed snark of reality. His temper was volatile, but a prayer – or fifteen – a day kept the doctors from taping up his hands. Jason loved dogs, hated cats, thought children under five were the cutest damned things and teenagers needed to be locked in iron cages until their hormones evened out.

Emphasis added because that's totally the best line of the whole thing. Jayyyy.
