The Guardian called it one of the most experimental storylines ever. I think they meant it as a compliment. The Guardian needs to stop talking about anything, ever.

...wait, what? I thought that was something the internet made up!

My source on these things mostly just is annoyed about it being a bodiless helicopter death. I'm just really amused that OLLIE DID IT FIRST. :D
